Summary:
ADT is offering an exciting opportunity to join our 2023 Summer Internship Program. This will be a 10–week program to attract emerging talent eager to learn and be a part of ADT's success as we continue to empower customers to protect and connect to what matters most through safe, smart and sustainable solutions.


Position Title: Legal Intern:


The Legal Department is offering an internship for 40 hours per week in the summer (start dates TBD May–August).


The Team
The Legal team helps ADT achieve strategic goals, manage legal risk, and preserve the legal and ethical integrity of the company. We are regularly involved in critical, complex operations, and partner across the business to solve challenging problems to support our growth and progress nationally. We focus on providing thorough analysis and offer legal advice to foster sound decision–making and ensuring compliance with legal and other relevant industry standards and certifications.

This Position
Projects range from consumer protection, compliance, M&A, securities, employment, litigation and intellectual property matters:

Roles and Responsibilities


  • Conduct legal research on important company topics with a focus on consumer protection laws and licensing issues as they arise with regard to different verticals (e.g. commercial, residential, small business, solar)

  • Work collaboratively across multiple functions to manage tasks and projects related to legal integration functions for newly acquired companies

  • Assist with the drafting of agreements, filings, corporate consents, correspondence, employment and policy materials, and other documents


Education/Work Experience Required:



  • Undergraduate degree

  • Currently in full–time attendance at a U.S. accredited law school pursuing a JD


Skills/Interests:



  • Highly motivated worker who can operate in a fast–paced, team–oriented environment with tight deadlines

  • Strong research, writing and oral communication skills

  • Solid organizational skills

  • Experience using relevant legal research tools for statutory and case research

  • Solid computer skills
