The Legal team is responsible for managing the legal affairs of the company, including providing legal counsel across the organization, handling disputes, and creating and enforcing intellectual property. This position will report to the Head of Global Legal Operations in the U.S. The individual will work independently in coordination with peers, stakeholders, and support functions to establish the Contract Management Operations function to provide Contracts Management Automation leadership within the Legal Team. This role serves as the in–house expert on contract automation and is the process and technology expert related to best practices in state–of–the–art contracts management solutions. This position will be dedicated to enabling ResMed Legal teams in their contracting processes worldwide and will be involved in defining company–wide global contracting standard processes and driving the efficiency of our various Legal teams. This position will proactively take ownership of the functional capabilities of contracting technology as the product owner for contract management technologies. This position will serve as the point of contact for process and functional improvements and change management related to functional changes in the contracting systems and processes across ResMed. This position will provide thought leadership for automating the Contracts Management Lifecycle. This position will own the global contracts management technology functionality and build and manage a global cross–functional coalition of contracting professionals to ensure policy, process, and system changes are made with input from a broad range of groups affected by such changes. This position requires the ability to work across geographies and demonstrate intercultural and emotional competence in a matrixed environment and ensure alignment with various stakeholders. This position is an optional remote role. Key responsibilities include: Drive and develop a multi–year operational and technology roadmap for the global legal team, partnering with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and cross–functional groups Providing thought leadership for ResMed, driving innovative contracting automation solutions Build a team to support contract operations in a cost–effective and efficient manner. Managing Legal and Business queries related to contracts and contracting processes; Contract signature routing via DocuSign from within the web and Contracting tool interface; Working closely with internal Legal teams to ensure process efficiency; Working closely with business groups to support any searching, reporting or clean–up of data; Liaising technical issues and system enhancement requests with the relevant stakeholders; Provide routine and ad hoc analysis and reporting; Develop, implement, and iterate on appropriate metrics and benchmarking through data analytics to measure the Legal Team's performance and efficiency; Onboarding new users into Apttus; Maintenance of contract and vendor data; Verification of new vendors within Apttus; Recommend process improvements to ensure efficiencies Education and Experience: Experience working in a Legal Organization Requires BS/BA degree with 4 years of relevant experience or a master's degree with 2 years of experience in the related field. Experience with Conga/Apttus Experienced in Microsoft Office Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management systems Excellent written and verbal communications skills Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Previous law department experience in contracts; •Previous experience with Apttus and ThinkSmart or other workflow automation technology; Intellectually curious with the ability to process a great deal of information in a fast–paced environment; Willing to take the initiative; Demonstrate integrity in managing sensitive and confidential information; Ability to present complex information in an accurate and persuasive manner to all levels of management; Must have strong client service orientation and demonstrate a high level of customer focus, independence, and initiative; Must be a team player who can easily handle shifting priorities, multi tasking in a deadline–oriented environment We are shaping the future at ResMed, and we recognize the need to build on and broaden our existing skills and continue to attract and retain the world's best talent. Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate's geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills. This role is eligible to receive an annual cash bonus payment based on company, business unit, and/or individual performance. Base Pay Range for this position: $160,000 – $240,00 For remote positions located outside of the US, pay will be determined based the candidate's geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
