As a Sr. Commercial Counsel with in our Digital Payments Solutions group, you will provide first level commercial and other legal–related support including contract preparation and negotiation in support of sales executives and client account managers. Additionally, you will support negotiating vendor and other related agreements; providing counsel to sales, account management, product, implementation, and technology leaders on legal matters; and liaising with company specialists regarding intellectual property, technology, privacy, security, regulatory, employment, and litigation matters.

What you will do:
Work directly with business unit leaders to prepare and negotiate client, vendor and other technology–related and commercial agreements for the Fiserv Biller Solutions business.
Advise business stakeholders on legal, contractual and risk matters impacting their areas of responsibility.
Provide consultation and legal advice with respect to strategic initiatives, technology projects, customer and vendor contracts, intellectual property, dispute resolution, regulatory matters, corporate policies and procedures, and administration.
Effectively interact with corporate specialists regarding finance, audit, tax, publicity/press, intellectual property (including patent applications), litigation, regulatory, privacy and technology matters that affect the business divisions.
Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and applicable legislation affecting the operations of the business divisions.
Develop and maintain forms of contracts and other legal documentation.
What you will need to have:
5+ years of relevant experience either in–house or with a firm
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in an extremely fast–paced environment, be extremely organized and have an eye for detail.
Demonstrated negotiation skills and the ability to provide sound solutions to our clients.
Demonstrated ability to identify risks and provide effective solutions to stakeholders.
JD from accredited law school
Licensed to practice, or ability to become licensed to practice, in appropriate jurisdiction
In good standing with State Bar with no disciplinary record
Up to 10% travel
What would be great to have:
Background in financial services industry or technology, business–minded orientation with a genuine interest in learning, understanding and contributing to the strategic direction of the business.
Strong knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to corporations in general, specifically technology services and software licensing companies.
Strong project management skills.
