Trademark Docketing Specialist + Paralegal

We’re a boutique IP firm, founded in 2014, and have an amazing, collegial team of lawyers and professionals. We provide our clients with holistic counsel, and help them establish, grow and exploit their intellectual property rights. We have both big law and in-house experience, and pride ourselves on providing business minded, efficient and practical advice.

We’re seeking an experienced trademark docketing specialist who can also perform paralegal tasks. Knowledge of WebTMS preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Please DO NOT apply if you do not have at least 3 years of experience working with trademarks. Responsibilities include: • Managing docketing system of US and foreign trademark applications, registrations and adverse proceedings; • Reviewing correspondence and documents, verifying deadlines, and entering due dates and reminders in the docketing system; • E-filing correspondence and documents in electronic filing system; • Creating new matters in docketing system; • Regularly updating attorneys regarding deadlines; • Preparing docket reports for the team and for clients; • Corresponding with clients and foreign counsel; • Drafting reporting notices; • Creating reports for clients; • Assisting with specimens of use and gathering exhibits; • Assisting attorneys with other tasks as required.
We’re looking for someone who is conscientious, who has excellent communication skills, who is very responsive, and who is as excited about the practice of trademark law as we are. Applicants should have strong Word and Excel skills.
