Paralegal – Intellectual Property

JOB DESCRIPTION:
In addition to the responsibilities listed below, successful candidate for this Senior Intellectual Property Paralegal position will have experience in one or more of the following areas; Docket, Intellectual Property (IP) Docketing, Legal Support, IP Legal Assistant, IP Paralegal, or use of Foundation IP, or similar, docketing software background.
Responsibilities:
Manage a full docket of trademark–related deadlines, send timely reminders to clients and attorneys, collect information and instructions, and ensure that deadlines are handled.
Prepare an
d file U.S. and Madrid Protocol trademark applications, declarations, renewals, extensions of time, and other USPTO filings.
Assist with preparation and filing of responses to trademark Office actions.
Record documents such as assignments, name changes, liens and lien releases with the USPTO and U.S. Copyright Office.
File documents with the TTAB and prepare non–substantive procedural filings.
Instruct and supervise trademark prosecution matters handled by foreign law firms and coordinate the preparation, execution, notarization, legalization, and apostille of documents filed with foreign patent and trademark offices.
Prepare and file U.S. Copyright applications.
Conduct patent, trademark and copyright due diligence searches for mergers and acquisitions
