Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree without work experience.

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. We are looking for a qualified and highly motivated professional with legal, contracts, and/or IT procurement experience to interface effectively with supplier/software publisher personnel (including, legal counsel, sales people, and all levels of management), and with GD internal customers (including, legal counsel, program managers, engineers, and all levels of business management). The IT Software Team within Supply Chain Management acquires commercial–off–the–shelf software products and software maintenance services for all direct programs, government and commercial, and for all indirect departments, such as Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology (IT), and Engineering.

What you bring to the table:
A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Contracts, or a related field or equivalent experience plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree without work experience. A Juris Doctorate is preferred
Solid analytical and negotiation skills applied to risk mitigation, legal terms and conditions. An understanding of increasingly complex price analysis strategies is a plus
Ability to grasp an understanding of ERP/MRP systems and procurement strategies

Have working knowledge of software licensing agreements
Have excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills
Adapt easily to changing business and support priorities
Ability to multi–task, prioritize and deliver high–quality, accurate work within targeted deadlines
Work independently, and as part of a team, strategically solving problems in a fast–paced, demanding work environment
