Job description

Primary Duties: Manage various company legal matters.

Responsibilities:

Draft, review and if needed, assist in negotiating general and commercial agreements.

Draft and review documents required for corporate transactions.

Provide legal advice relating to the business, including but not limited to labor & employment law, immigration law, antitrust law, commercial law, intellectual property, product liability, and dealer disputes.

Manage investigations, litigations, and disputes.

Manage corporate formality and regulatory reporting work.

Review and establish internal polices based on legal standards.

Monitor legislation, regulations, and compliance matters that could impact the business, including but not limited to EPA, CARB, and ECCC.

Provide and supervise legal training to internal clients.

Manage performance, relationship, and budget with external counsel.

Draft and review termination letters to specified dealers as approved and requested by management.

Coordinate with HQ Legal Team in Korea.

Requirements:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) graduate of an ABA approved law school in the U.S.

Qualified to practice law in any state of the U.S. (Georgia bar admission preferred).

At least 5 – 6 years' experience in private practice or in–house.

Experience in labor & employment law, immigration law, or construction equipment industry preferred.

Excellent drafting and verbal / written communication skills in both English and Korean.

Excellent strategic and analytical skills.

Demonstrate commercial awareness and the ability to apply legal knowledge and experience within a dynamic commercial environment.

Able to manage expectations, deadlines and deliver within an appropriate timeframe.

Able to manage conflicts and stressful situations in an efficient way.

Excellent client relationship and able to collaborate efficiently across different teams and departments.

Other duties:

Other duties and functions appropriate to the position as assigned by the manager from time to time.

Work environment and other requirements:

The work environment is a non–smoking office environment. No heavy lifting required. Mostly sitting with computer and phone usage. Accommodations can be made for handicapped employee. Travel only on an "as needed" basis.
