Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Attorney to join our firm. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in entertainment law, with a focus on film and television. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to talent in the entertainment industry, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to talent in the entertainment industry, including film and television
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including talent agreements, production agreements, licensing agreements, and distribution agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including copyright and trademark laws, and advise clients on legal issues related to intellectual property.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and disputes, including mediation and litigation.
  • Stay up–to–date with industry trends and changes in laws and regulations that may impact clients in the entertainment industry.
  • Collaborate with other members of the legal team to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.

Qualifications:

  • JD from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • 5+ years of experience in entertainment law, with a focus on film and television
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience drafting and reviewing contracts.
  • Knowledge of intellectual property laws, including copyright and trademark laws, and experience advising clients on legal issues related to intellectual property.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Passion for the entertainment industry and a desire to work with clients to help them achieve their goals.
