Responsibilities and practice

Dentons US LLP is seeking an IP Trademark Attorney with excellent academic credentials and 4-10 years of experience to join our dynamic Intellectual Property & Technology practice. This is a great opportunity to do interesting work for industry-leading clients with a group of dedicated colleagues who are passionate about their work. Expected responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Domestic and international trademark strategy
  • Domestic and international trademark clearance searches and filings
  • TM search, prosecution, defense and enforcement in the United States and worldwide 
  • TM/copyright counseling
  • IP licensing
  • IP due diligence
  • Copyright search, prosecution, defense and enforcement, including DMCA
  • IP litigation support

Pursuant to New York law, the salary range for this position in New York is $175,000 to $375,000  based on experience. We take an integrated, multidisciplinary approach that provides a broader perspective on how intellectual property issues affect key legal and business decisions. Our IP&T team regularly collaborates with other Dentons practice areas—including litigation, licensing, corporate law, venture capital, franchising, advertising, international trade, antitrust, and tax—to advise our clients strategically and comprehensively.

Technical skills

  • Broad IP experience 
  • Strong academic credentials  
  • In-house experience a plus
  • Nonlegal work experience a plus

Other requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in the  state corresponding to the Dentons office of interest and be in good standing of that state bar
