Senior Litigation Counsel

Senior Attorney (Litigation & Regulation) We are seeking a Senior Litigation Counsel to join our growing Legal Department to support the European business. The role is based in our brand new 'Forever Home' campus in Watford, UK. The successful candidate will also be a member of TJX's global litigation and regulatory team and will have regular contact with the US–based lawyers in that team. This is a diverse role, with responsibility for managing, advising and supporting the business on a wide range of contentious and regulatory matters, including intellectual property issues, corporate and social compliance, trade and regulatory compliance, and consumer protection. The position provides an opportunity to work with talented individuals across our business, ranging from Buying, Product Development and Marketing to Finance, Information Technology and Store Operations. Required Skills and Experience Significant post–qualification litigation and/or regulatory experience in a top–tier law firm or in–house. Self–motivated, flexible and accustomed to operating at a high level in a fast paced and dynamic work environment. Track record of providing legal advice that is clear, commercial and practical. Comfortable managing and prioritising multiple matters simultaneously. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts to a non–legal audience. Capable of building and maintaining a network of effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of seniority. Experience dealing with litigation and/or regulatory issues in different jurisdictions. High personal impact and ability to gain credibility and establish trust quickly.
