Deputy Head of Legal

We are excited to be working with a London based, nationally renowned charity as they recruit for an integral management position in their busy Legal team. They are willing to wait on notice for the right candidate on a full–time basis, with the salary ranging from GBP56,000 – GBP64,260. They are looking to hire a Deputy Head of Legal on a permanent basis, can offer hybrid working and a range of impressive benefits, full details below: The ideal candidate will have strong commercial contract experience, particularly in e–licencing to support an upcoming project, as well as be interested in developing or starting their management career. Duties will include (but are not limited to): Line managing two members of staff, as well as deputising for the Head of Legal, representing the Legal team in meetings with external parties Developing and contributing to strategic change that supports the Legal team's strategy and business objectives Drafting contracts with third parties, in particular: commercial contracts, services technology agreements, media and intellectual property licence agreements, grant agreements, and funding arrangements with donors and corporate partners and collaboration agreements Assisting as required with the creation, maintenance and implementation of standard legal documents, guidance notes and policies, and with development and delivery of training to staff on legal issues Providing advice in relation to subject access requests and legal advice, support and training to teams to understand their responsibilities for data protection Experience required: Not–for–Profit experience Highly Desirable In–house experience – Essential Rewards and Benefits: Extensive package, please get in touch to find out more Working hours: 35 hours per week Monday – Friday 9am–5pm 2/3 days working from home, with free accommodation on site for those looking to stay over Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
