Job Details

Responsibilities:

Case Management: Assist attorneys in managing corporate litigation cases, including organizing and maintaining case files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court rules and internal procedures.
Legal Research: Conduct comprehensive legal research using various resources, such as online databases and legal publications, to gather relevant information and support case strategies.
Document Preparation: Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, while adhering to court procedures and deadlines.
Discovery Support: Assist in the coordination and management of the discovery process, including document collection, review, and production. Prepare responses to discovery requests and assist in deposition preparation.
Trial Preparation: Collaborate closely with attorneys to prepare trial materials, such as exhibits, witness binders, and trial notebooks. Assist in the organization and presentation of evidence.
Deposition Support: Coordinate and assist in the preparation of depositions, including managing logistics, organizing exhibits, and preparing summaries.
Case Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members, ensuring prompt follow–up and updates on case progress.
Legal Administration: Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and maintain accurate electronic and physical filing systems. Prepare and distribute case–related correspondence.
Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative work environment by actively participating in team meetings, sharing knowledge and insights, and providing assistance to colleagues as needed.
Requirements:

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree preferable or completion of an accredited paralegal program, but not required.
5+ years of experience as a paralegal in corporate litigation within a large law firm.
Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of corporate litigation processes, court procedures, and legal terminology.
Research and Writing Skills: Excellent research and writing abilities, including the capacity to conduct thorough legal research, analyze complex legal issues, and draft clear and concise legal documents.
Organization and Time Management: Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast–paced environment.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
Technological Proficiency: Proficient in using legal research platforms, litigation support software, and other relevant technology tools.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with attorneys, clients, and team members.
Professionalism and Discretion: Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Team Player: A collaborative and team–oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse and dynamic work environment.
