A legal services firm in New Jersey is actively seeking an experienced, licensed Legal professional to join their staff as their new Business / General Civil Litigation Associate.

Responsibilities:

The Business / General Civil Litigation Associate will:
  • Analyzing statutes, regulations, case law, and other legal documents to gather information relevant to the case
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents needed for the case
  • Representing clients in court, at mediation or arbitration, and in negotiations with opposing parties
  • Managing cases, including scheduling court appearances and depositions, reviewing and organizing documents, and tracking deadlines
  • Conducting discovery, which involves gathering evidence through depositions, written questions, and document requests
  • Participating in settlement negotiations with opposing parties to resolve disputes outside of court
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all case–related activities, including time spent on each task and expenses incurred
  • Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Legal experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Juris Doctorate
  • Admission to the NJ Bar
  • Litigation and/or Civil Litigation experience
  • Solid analytical and research skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
