Our client is seeking a litigation attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in litigation, either in insurance defense, corporate or commercial litigation. They will have a strong understanding of civil procedure and trial advocacy. As a commercial litigation attorney, you will be responsible for representing clients in a variety of legal disputes related to business transactions, contracts, partnerships, and other commercial matters.
Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of litigation matters from inception through trial
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
Prepare and respond to discovery requests, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission
Conduct depositions and attend hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
Negotiate and settle cases on behalf of clients
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
Stay up–to–date on changes to laws and regulations that impact commercial litigation
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice law in PA
3+ years of experience in litigation
Strong legal research and writing skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload and work independently
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a large law firm or corporate legal department
Knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures
Experience with e–discovery tools and technology
Experience in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes, such as mediation and arbitration
