You will be responsible for carrying out the business–as–usual review and negotiation of contractual documents and transactions, and throughout all your work will ensure that Diamond's interests are protected and commercial risks identified.

You will also contribute to Diamond's governance, process and system development through participation in nominated projects and other complex matters.

A valued member of the Legal Team, you will contribute positively to the development of the Legal function and the efficiency of its operation, by identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives and strengthening its relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.

About You

You will be a qualified lawyer admitted to practice in England & Wales, with substantial post–qualification experience working in another in–house team or in private practice with an understanding of the in–house environment.

You will have broad knowledge of Law, and demonstrate experience in the following areas: –

  • Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Advising senior management and stakeholders.
  • Data Protection Law, Company Law and governance.
  • Managing significant projects.
  • Implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Intellectual Property law, and Public law would be an advantage but is not essential.

You will have the ability to work independently and take personal responsibility for problem solution and management of your workload, and also to work together with and support your team members.

You must be able to communicate effectively at all levels, including possessing excellent written skills to draft contractual documents, reports and director briefings.
