Licensing Contracts Executive – Legal Department

Location: Uxbridge

Salary: Up to GBP36,000 (depending on experience)

A prestigious client of ours based within Stockley Park is now seeking a Contracts Administrator within their Legal Department.

The successful candidate will be a very detail–oriented individual with strong administrative skills and preferably some experience in a similar senior administrative role working with contracts and licencing documentation. Legal experience is essential for this position.

This position is available for an immediate start, and the salary is up to GBP36,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage licensing contracts, including new agreements, amendments, novation agreements, terminations, shipping and customs clearance, and other ad–hoc contract–related letters.
  • Act as the primary contact for customers regarding contractual matters. Serve as a "middleman" between company employees and customers, ensuring timely review, approval, and reconciliation of variations.
  • Provide redlined recommendations on standard and nonstandard contracts, mediating between legal, category managers, and licensees to reach consensus.
  • Assist in amending Standard Terms and Conditions based on revised intellectual property (IP) requirements and pre–draft replacement clauses for paralegals/attorneys to review.
  • Maintain comprehensive contractual records and documentation, including insurance certificates, non–disclosure agreements (NDAs), and all other contract correspondences.
  • Offer guidance on contract matters to category managers and other operational staff, including providing training on contracting practices and procedures to new category managers and employees.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a senior administrative role within a Legal setting
  • Project management experience, particularly in the tracking of key documentation.
  • Previous exposure and understanding of legal contracts.
  • Previous experience or understanding of licensing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Word.
  • Adaptability to in–house systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office SharePoint and Excel.
