Corporate/Commercial Lawyer:

Venn Group's specialist legal team are currently working with a City based law firm who are recruiting for a Corporate/Commercial Lawyer to assist their Governance, Risk and Compliance team for an initial 3 months.

The role will involve responsibility for legal and company secretarial matters, with there being a focus on risk management, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulation.

This private practice opportunity incorporates supervising skills of a junior member of the team and our client is offering a competitive daily rate.

Key Duties:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts
• Advising on property, employment and corporate matters
• Providing organisational and administrative support on corporate transactions
• Supporting on wider legal matters such as, intellectual property, supplier and B2B arrangements
• Ensuring all Group entities are in good legal standing
• Ensuring that annual accounts are completed and approved within the timeline required
• Managing the appointment and removal of Directors as required
• Managing the proper storage of the Group's contracts and other legal documentation, maintaining an up–to–date database of all live contracts
• Managing insured claims in conjunction with brokers and external lawyers
• Implementing and maintaining exceptional corporate governance practices and ensuring that policies and processes in this area are fit for purpose
• Providing data protection and privacy advice
• Compliance, including anti–bribery and anti–money laundering and assist the business in rectifying any issues

• Successful candidate must be a UK qualified solicitor or legal executive
