Paralegal - Entry

Paralegal Entry is needed for a contract opportunity with our client in the entertainment industry in San Mateo, California

13 month assignment
Pay $30– $40hr.DOE
Onsite (San Mateo)
Must have the legal right to work in the United States


Description:

We are seeking a talented Associate Paralegal who wants to work on cutting–edge legal matters and IP enforcement matters as a member of the Global Legal Enforcement Team. This position supports attorneys and paralegals in the enforcement of the Entertainment brand. We're looking for someone to:

• You will assist with brand protection and enforcement activities, including investigating counterfeits, preparing documents, and gathering evidence.
• You will work with external vendors and coordinate enforcement activities.
• You will assist with online infringement review, tagging, tracking and enforcement of online marketplaces, websites, paid advertisements and mobile apps.
• You will assist with digital content management, anti–counterfeit matters, anti–piracy and other copyright matters.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• At least 1 – 3 years of experience in–house or at a law firm in the Intellectual Property department.
• Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certificate
• Background in all or some of the following areas: Trademark, Copyright, Design Patents and Industrial Designs
• Ability to multi–task and effectively assess priorities in a fast–paced environment
• Strong communication skills
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to pay attention to detail
• Experience in entertainment industry a plus
• Experience with technology and video games a plus
• A sense of humor required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Spanish language skills a plus
• 2+ years Intellectual Property law experience in–house or at a law firm.
