We seek an experienced in–house legal counsel to join a leading Financial Services company.
Reporting directly to a Partner within the consultancy, you would be joining a small team of 10, working closely with one other legal counsel on a wide variety of assignments, including re–writing and reviewing commercial contracts, M&A activity and more. As this is a relatively small team, you would be exposed to a wide range of activities and would enjoy a breadth of activity within this role.

Your day–to–day responsibilities include:
- Drafting, negotiating and reviewing commercial contracts, tenders, engagement letters, NDAs, and licences amongst others.
- Supporting firmwide BAU legal issues.
- Responsible for recommending firmwide precedents.
- Maintaining internal legal documents.
- Assisting with general contact matters as appropriate within the business.
We are looking for candidates who have any relevant pension administration experience who have:
- Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C / 5 as a minimum
- A qualified lawyer with at 2 years' PQE (post qualification experience) gained in–house or in private practice.
- You will have good experience in dealing with contract law including drafting and negotiating commercial agreements directly.
- Knowledge of intellectual property, information security and data protection including GDPR experience is advantageous.
- Financial services, FCA regulation and pensions experience preferred but not essential.
