Alongside award winning promotional agency services, The Marketing Store delivers global category management services to our biggest client – McDonald's. More specifically to the McDonald's Happy Meal product business. HAVI Sourcing provides similar category management services to McDonald's, among other clients, for consumer–facing packaging, uniforms and health and safety requirements.

In an effort to maximize numerous sourcing–related opportunities, grow our business and evolve our organizational efficiency, we are integrating our sourcing capabilities and activities into one entity. ROLE OVERVIEW

As an important member of the Legal team, the Legal Analyst will be a legal resource for tms agency services/sourcing groups supporting in–house counsel for North America and global markets. In this role, the Legal Analyst will work on a broad range of legal issues that encompass advertising and marketing, and intellectual property, including consumer promotions, social media review, digital rights, licensing contracts, and privacy compliance. Working with different internal stakeholders, this role will be a key contributor to the team's overall mission to provide solutions that streamline and enhance the in–house legal review process.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Review marketing and promotions materials (mobile and digital campaigns), including claims and disclosures for sales incentives, sweepstakes, contests, games, loyalty programs, and product packaging to enable legally compliant programming.
  • Draft the official rules, and program terms and conditions for consumer promotions.
  • Coordinate the legal requirements for global promotion campaigns.
  • Support the drafting negotiations and renewals of a variety of agreements, including non–disclosure agreements, client and supplier master service agreements, and prize partner agreements, as well as related statements of work, and amendments.
  • Stay up–to–date and be able to apply legal and regulatory requirements related to consumer advertising, including FTC guidelines, privacy (e.g., CCPA, EU and UK GDPR), accessibility (WCAG), and other material delivery (e.g., Canada's Anti–Spam Law (CASL .
  • Assist with necessary trademark and copyright clearances and registrations.
  • Work with outside counsel to manage global trademark portfolio, including to initiate and maintain trademark registrations and renewal filings, prepare prosecution cost and status summaries, and review same with internal clients.
  • Assist with the registration, maintenance, and transfer of domain names.
  • Assist with legal review of Requests for Proposals ("RFPs").
  • Support the coordination of litigation matters as may be needed.
ABOUT YOU
  • 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven track record in the implementation of consumer and sales promotions from development through execution.
  • Strong client relations skills, business sense, and the ability to make practical evaluations of risk.
  • Comfortable in a collaborative, dynamic, and creative environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to independently navigate areas of unfamiliarity.
  • Ability to multitask and pivot to support various areas within the Legal team structure
  • An energetic, resourceful and hands on individual with a strong customer service orientation.
  • A dedication to developing and delivering outstanding work and continuing improvements in support of the organization's strive for excellence.
