Our firm is committed to protecting and maximizing the value of our clients' intellectual property assets through strategic and innovative approaches.

You will get the opportunity to work with a large team of Patent & Trademark Attorneys who are well recognised as leaders in their field. You will be able to work remotely, though the firm has an office based in the south west which can be used for meetings.

Job Responsibilities:

Drafting and prosecuting patent applications for a diverse range of inventions across multiple technical fields.

Conducting thorough prior art searches and patentability assessments to support patent drafting and prosecution.

Advising clients on intellectual property matters, including patent portfolio management, infringement analysis, and validity opinions.

Handling patent opposition and appeals procedures before relevant patent offices and boards.

Collaborating with clients and inventors to identify patentable inventions and develop effective patent strategies.

Providing strategic counsel on global patent filing strategies and managing international patent portfolios.

Assisting with patent litigation matters, including infringement litigation and patent invalidation proceedings.

Qualifications and Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Patent Attorney, preferably in a reputable law firm or IP department.

A strong technical background in a specific field, along with the ability to handle inventions across various technical domains.

Excellent knowledge of patent laws, regulations, and procedures.

Proven track record of drafting and prosecuting high–quality patent applications.

Experience in providing strategic IP advice to clients and managing patent portfolios.

Outstanding analytical, research, and problem–solving skills.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively engage with clients, inventors, and colleagues.
