Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent IP Paralegal to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast–paced, challenging environment within the legal industry. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support to our Intellectual Property (IP) practice group, focusing on patent prosecution and related activities. Responsibilities:
1. Manage various aspects of US and foreign patent prosecution, including filing, docketing, and client correspondence.
2. Assist in the preparation, filing, and prosecution of USPTO and PCT patent applications.
3. Conduct patent searches and analyze results to provide patentability and infringement opinions.
4. Coordinate with foreign associates to manage and track foreign patent applications.
5. Draft and review legal documents such as patent applications, responses to office actions, and other related filings.
6. Maintain a comprehensive and updated knowledge of intellectual property law and its application.
7. Provide administrative support to the IP team, including maintaining files, tracking deadlines, and managing client communications.
8. Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for and support IP litigation cases.
9. Conduct legal research and prepare reports as required.

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an IP Paralegal or in a similar role within the legal industry.
2. Proven experience in handling USPTO, PCT applications, and patent prosecution.
3. Familiarity with national patent applications and managing foreign and US patents.
4. A comprehensive understanding of intellectual property law.
5. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
7. Proficiency in using legal research tools and patent databases.
8. A bachelor's degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field is preferred.
9. Paralegal certification is a plus.
