Client Account Manager (with legal capabilities)

Location: Columbus Walk, Cardiff CF10

Salary: GBP44,000 – GBP50,000 per year

Job Type: Permanent, Full–time

Role and Responsibilities:

As the Client Account Manager you will play a crucial role in our clients Anti–Piracy and License Compliance management team. The objective of the business is to collaborate with software vendors to protect their Intellectual Property Rights. Your responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and managing positive client and partner relationships.
  • Managing and leading internal teams, including resource planning.
  • Managing deal/sales pipeline, forecasting, and performance reporting.
  • Providing legal knowledge and understanding, preferably in Intellectual Property Law.
  • Competency in the full MS Office suite and online research.
  • Database management, recording information, and compiling reports.
  • Leading a team of 25+ internal staff and providing necessary support and supervision.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of account management/relationship management experience.
  • Legal background/experience, knowledge of Intellectual Property law preferred.
  • Management and Leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Computer literacy, including intermediate Excel capability.
  • Experience in database management, evidence recording, and report presentation.
  • Structured decision–making and problem–solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of setting and managing budgets.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Additional language skills, particularly French.
  • Advanced experience in data analytics and visualization tools, i.e., Power BI.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be responsible for evaluating, setting, and monitoring the achievement of target revenue in collaboration with the client and the Senior Management Team.
  • Provide management dashboards on the progress of actions and the progress of the plan.
  • Lead, manage and/or support the investigations in accordance with the systems and processes particular to a client s License Compliance program.
  • Provide legal advice and support to the team and the client, where appropriate and/or necessary.
  • Ensure that the appropriate processes are followed with particular attention to the case assessment and relevant and appropriate engagement strategy in accordance with the client s License Compliance program and as directed by the CJCH Global Delivery strategy.
  • Monitor and track the progress of cases and respond and/or take effective action.
  • Work in a collaborative way with the client and other relevant parties to ensure that the needs of the client are met.
  • Provide input into tactical and strategic assessments and attend client and senior management meetings when required.
  • Provide the necessary support and supervision of team members in processing cases and take the lead for its performance.
  • Identify what resource or financial requirements are needed to achieve the goals of the client.
  • Manage all resource and department operations requirements, including but not limited to Human Resource matters, capacity planning, performance management, client service delivery, and general department operations.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably LLB and/or LLM.
