Key Responsibilities:

As a Patent Paralegal at our client's firm, you will play a pivotal role in supporting patent fee earners within the organisation (specifically in the software, AI, and quantum groups.) Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Instructing overseas associates for patent and design filings and responses

• Preparing cost estimates for clients

• Reporting filing, prosecution, and grant communications to clients, and providing draft reporting for fee earner approval

• Utilising IP management systems such as Inprotech for efficient workflow

• Collaborating with clients, attorneys, and administrators to manage client portfolios

• Ensuring legal requirements are met for patent filings, including obtaining legal documents

• Handling administrative tasks such as diary management, invoicing, and document proofing

Candidate Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Patent Paralegal

• A CIPA qualification

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy

• Proactive team player with the capacity to work autonomously when necessary

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including client–facing interactions

• Familiarity with electronic records and billing systems is a plus

• A readiness to work additional hours occasionally to meet deadlines
