Faegre Drinker is actively recruiting for an Associate to join the trademark, copyright, advertising and media practice within our Intellectual Property group. The position can be based in our Chicago, Denver, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, or Washington D.C. offices.
This position can offer the opportunity to work on trademark, copyright, and advertising issues, and may include both counseling and prosecution matters and contentious matters in courts and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, Copyright Office, and the National Advertising Division. Ideal candidates will have 1-3 years’ experience in trademark law. Experience with copyright, advertising, licensing, sweepstakes and privacy matters is a plus. Successful candidates must be collaborative and motivated to succeed in a client-focused, team-oriented environment. Candidates must also have excellent academic credentials and have strong written and oral communications skills.
This position offers competitive compensation and unlimited potential for professional growth. Current firm plans for returning to work include an average of 2-3 days in the office. The anticipated initial annual salary range for someone who is hired into this position is $165,000 - $245,000.
Actual initial salary may be above or below the above-identified range and will be based on the relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location of where the position is filled and consistent with applicable law. The initial salary range listed above is just one component of Faegre Drinker's total compensation and benefits package for attorneys, which includes, but is not limited to, productivity and discretionary bonuses; life, health, accident and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
