THE ROLE
The IP team is looking to hire an IP lawyer with UK experience and qualification ideally at the 2 PQE level.
The work will be a mixture of contentious and non–contentious, covering both IP and commercial transactions.
You will be interested in working for an international law firm representing some of the world's most famous brands.
An interest and experience in the retail, fashion, luxury goods, beauty/cosmetics, food and beverage, sports, and e–commerce sectors would be an advantage.
THE CANDIDATE
With strong academics and from a City or top regional firm, you will be involved in a wide variety of work including
Trade mark and design procurement: UK, EU and international trade mark and design portfolio management, clearance searches and applications;
IP advisory: trade mark, design, copyright, internet/e–commerce, passing off, trade secrets;
Contentious trade mark work: UK and EU oppositions, cancellations and associated appeals, UK, EU and international litigation, cease and desist letters, pre–litigation enforcement measures, and anti–counterfeiting matters;
Marketing and advertising: reviewing and advising on UK, EU and global marketing and advertising campaigns, advising on Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) complaints and associated advice;
Commercial contracts: drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements (such as licensing, collaboration, celebrity ambassador, logistics services, e–Commerce
Transactional IP: trade mark and technology licensing, IP diligence, co–existence and settlement agreements, general commercial contracts;
Corporate due diligence and related commercial work; and data protection work.
