Legal Counsel

As a result of Insurwave's continued growth, we are looking for an experienced legal counsel professional to oversee the legal affairs of our organisation, in particular ideally with experience in a similar SaaS based environment. The role may suit a highly experienced individual looking to reduce their working week ( part time with 3 days per week) or maybe someone earlier in their career development looking for their next step up.

Providing legal guidance on a wide range of legal matters such as contracts, intellectual property, data and corporate governance related to Insurwave's SaaS platform.

Drafting, negotiating and vetting contracts (in particular for Clients and key Suppliers), legal documents and agreements.

Conducting legal training / awareness for Insurwave staff.

Identifying and mitigating legal risks.

Developing and implementing legal procedures and policies to ensure the company's compliance with applicable laws.

Conducting legal research to ensure their organisation is up–to–date with the latest legal changes.

A strong educational background, including a bachelor's degree in law or a related field acquired from an accredited institution. Additionally, a master's degree in law or business administration would be advantageous.

The right to practise law in the UK.

In–depth legal expertise, with an understanding of legal principles and practices, alongside specific knowledge in the realm of contract law, intellectual property and data in the supply of Software as a Service (SaaS)

Knowledge of legal systems at domestic, transnational, and international levels (in relation to supply of Insurwave Services)

Natural leadership and management skills, including an ability to communicate in an assertive and clear manner to those who have a strong understanding of the law, and those with novice knowledge.

Proven analytical and problem solving skills, demonstrating your ability to assess and understand complex legal issues, and provide strategic advice.

Excellent business acumen in regard to understanding business operation and objectives, permitting your provision of legal advice aligning with business strategy including the balance of legal risk vs commercial opportunities for Insurwave growth.
