Job Description

Responsible for ensuring that the Shipping Department has accurately pulled, packed and shipped all customer orders on time daily. This may require helping to prepare the department for daily shipments by stocking multiple locations with supplies as well as keeping the warehouse orderly and organized. This requires intermediate knowledge of International and Domestic Shipping processes. Independently performs all Shipping and/or Receiving functions and may be required to multitask to ensure all shipments have been completed in the proper time frame. Capable of performing special assignments where good decision making and judgment is required. This role will be relied upon to perform all cycle count activities based on set company goals. Capable of maintaining reports and department metrics to measure productivity. Must clearly communicate all issues to the Supervisor in a timely manner. This role actively participates and may be required to lead continuous improvement projects. Provides timely and courteous service to all customers. This position may require the use of a company vehicle to pick up and transport supplies between buildings.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Thorough knowledge of all Domestic and International Shipping
  • processes and ensures that all processes are followed, improved upon as required, and procedures are kept up to date.
  • Thorough knowledge of inventory restocking in accordance to the Shipping Warehouse bin strategies.
  • Thorough knowledge of maintaining shipping supplies and placing orders as needed for replenishment.
  • Communicates progress of assigned projects and notify potential issues to the Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Assist in Associate training and development as needed. Assists other team members to establish programs to achieve departmental goals.
  • Ensures materials have been disposition properly upon receipt. Responsible to sign for materials received. May be required to verify received goods by unpacking them and reconciling against packing slips. Required to apply product labeling for materials and maintain the records of received goods. Routes received goods to appropriate locations and delivers all miscellaneous receipts to users.
  • Coordinates and may be required to lead cycle counting activities.
  • Notifies Team Lead/ Supervisor of damaged or mixed material. Recommends and implements corrective actions for discrepancies.
  • Coordinates activities to maintain the shipping and warehouse areas in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Provides direct guidance to Associates to support compliance of ISO/ cGMP requirements.
  • May be required to coordinate shop floor work flow and prioritization.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements in shipping and warehouse areas. Participates in training on regulatory issues affecting own area of work. Brings regulatory compliance questions/issues to the attention of management.
  • Ability to create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and or Work Instructions.
Estimated compensation for this position is:

41,600.00 – 41,600.00 USD The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
