Overview

The Atlanta office of Lewis Brisbois, a full–service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an attorney with two (2) years of experience to join its Intellectual Property & Technology litigation practice. A technical background is strongly preferred and an undergraduate or higher degree in engineering, computer science, physics, or a similar field is preferred but not required.

The ideal candidate will have excellent credentials, strong interpersonal skills, and intellectual property (primarily patent) litigation experience. The candidate also will preferably be admitted before the USPTO and have at least some experience in other types of intellectual property litigation, such as copyright, trademark, and trade secrets litigation, or other technology–related litigation.

Qualified candidates will have experience in various aspects of patent infringement litigation (e.g., development of strategies, conducting discovery, preparing infringement and invalidity contentions, claim construction/Markman, depositions, technical and damages expert witness reports, preparing for trial, etc.). Trial experience is not required but would be valued. Candidates must have strong writing and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast–paced environment. The successful candidate will be a self–starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Lewis Brisbois successfully represents both plaintiffs and defendants in patent litigation in a variety of forums. Our attorneys, many of whom hold technical degrees, are experienced in all aspects of intellectual property including patent, copyright, trademark, trade dress, unfair competition, economic, licensing, franchising, and rights acquisition. We protect our clients' intellectual property assets in federal and state courts as well as before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the International Trade Commission, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and in foreign countries.

Lewis Brisbois offers competitive compensation and in addition, we offer a range of benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k) with employer contribution, PTO for eligible classifications and a bonus for those who exceed their minimum hourly requirements.
