IP Litigation Paralegal
My client is a leading Intellectual Property firm. It is at the forefront of protecting and defending innovation in a rapidly evolving legal landscape. As they continue to grow and lead in the field, it is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join its team as a Senior IP Litigation Paralegal.
As an Intellectual Property Litigation Paralegal within this firm, you will play a pivotal role in supporting its legal team in high–stakes IP litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in intellectual property law, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex litigation tasks with precision. This role will have a big focus on patent litigation in the life science sector so it will be well suited to a candidate that has excellent experience in this area.
Case Management: Lead the coordination and management of intellectual property litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
Discovery Support: Conduct and oversee discovery processes, including document review, production, and organization of case–related materials.
Legal Research: Perform in–depth legal research on relevant case law, statutes, and regulations to support the litigation team in building strong legal arguments.
Trial Preparation: Assist in the preparation of trial materials, exhibits, and witness coordination. Attend trials and hearings as needed.
Client Communication: Interface with clients and internal stakeholders, providing regular updates on case status and addressing inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
Deadline Management: Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines, ensuring that all aspects of litigation support are executed in a timely and efficient manner.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other team members to maintain a seamless workflow and contribute to the overall success of the litigation practice.
Assist in the training of new team members.
Bachelor's degree/relevant litigation experience.
3 years' + experience in a similar role, along with strong knowledge of case management.
Experience working in patent litigation in the high court.
Experience in trade mark litigation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Willingness to be a team player on all department projects.
