Job Title: Vice President of Legal – Crypto & Challenger Banking

Location: London, UK

Salary: Up to GBP140,000 per annum + Benefits

Fully remote – very occasional office visit.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Strategy and Compliance:

• Develop and implement legal strategies that align with the company's business objectives in the crypto and challenger banking space.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Contract Negotiation and Drafting:

• Oversee the negotiation and drafting of a variety of agreements, including partnership agreements, licensing agreements, and other legal documents crucial to the company's operations.

Risk Management:

• Identify and assess legal risks associated with business activities and provide proactive advice to mitigate potential issues.
• Work collaboratively with cross–functional teams to develop risk mitigation strategies.

Regulatory Affairs:

• Stay abreast of regulatory developments in the crypto and financial services sectors.
• Engage with regulatory bodies and authorities to ensure the company's compliance and foster positive relationships.

Intellectual Property:

• Manage and protect the company's intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.

Dispute Resolution:

• Handle legal disputes and litigation matters effectively, working closely with external counsel when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 10 years of legal experience, including substantial experience in the financial services industry, crypto, or related sectors.
• Proven track record in providing legal counsel at a strategic level.
• In–depth knowledge of financial regulations, crypto–related laws, and emerging trends in the industry.
• Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
