While candidates’ particular expertise might vary, we are looking for a lawyer with a diverse intellectual property background and a desire to support our clients in maximizing the value of their non-tangible assets.
Skills required:
Three to five years of experience within an intellectual property practice, resulting in knowledge of:
- At minimum, a basic understanding of trademark clearance and prosecution, deeper knowledge of trademark prosecution is a plus.
- General or more in-depth knowledge of copyright prosecution.
- The ability to advise and counsel clients on privacy concepts and concerns.
- A comfort in assessing and advising on protection and monetization of intellectual property assets.
- A strong working knowledge of licensing agreements including negotiating their terms and drafting final documents.
- Experience defending intellectual property assets through drafting cease and desist letters as well as other enforcement efforts.
- Working knowledge of patent prosecution and protection.
- The ability to manage and draft intellectual property assignments.
