IP/Trademark Paralegal

Well-established Los Angeles law firm located in the San Fernando Valley seeks an exceptional paralegal to join our Intellectual Property Practice Group. Ideal candidate is organized, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in trademark law, and able to work with multiple busy lawyers in an active, highly service-oriented practice. At our firm, you will nurture client relationships. Experience with copyright applications is also helpful.

Duties include the following:

Conduct on-line domestic and international trademark clearance searches for new marks; prepare and electronically file trademark applications, responses to office actions, Statements of Use, post-registration maintenance and renewal documents, trademark assignment documents, and other documents with USPTO; manage applications from prosecution stage through to registration, and post-registration; manage docketing.

Prepare and electronically file Notices of Opposition, Petitions for Cancellation, and other motions and documents at TTAB; manage docketing.

Work with foreign counsel to file priority and non-priority trademark applications.

Prepare and file copyright applications with United States Copyright Office.

Assist with registration and renewal of domain names for clients, including managing docketing for same.

Assist with online investigation as may be needed for enforcement of client intellectual property rights.
