IP Paralegal–NYC law firm
$65–$115K plus OT. This is hybrid in office 3 days a week, 2 days remote.

The Senior Intellectual Property Paralegal will support the initiatives of the Firm, including, but not limited to supporting the attorneys in rendering legal services to clients in all aspects of Intellectual Property.
As a Senior Intellectual Property Paralegal, you will:
Conduct review and analyze IP searches, including initial screening searches
Conduct preliminary IP searches relating to due diligence projects
Assist with preparation of schedules and recordation of Intellectual Property security documents for U.S. federal IP
File and follow–up on filings of U.S. federal IP security documents
Administer files, filing price–quotes and invoices
Draft trademark prosecution documents for filing at appropriate offices; monitor and maintain applications through issuance
Prepare reports regarding pending patent and trademark applications; oversee accuracy and necessary follow–up on daily docket entries and maintain portfolios with supervising attorneys
Extract relevant information from outside counsel correspondence and official Patent & Trademark Office databases
Enter and track due dates into docketing system and monitor actions due
Communicate with the USPTO, USCO, attorneys, agents, outside counsel, vendors, and staff about filing and prosecution matters
Job Specifications:
Bachelors degree
At least five (5) years of work experience with respect to IP filings
Knowledge of USPTO and USCO procedures
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)
Knowledge of IP legal databases and docketing software
Knowledge of trademark search vendors
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask in a fast–paced environment
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work under tight deadlines
Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
Ability to work in a diverse team environment to effectively support the demanding needs of the Firm
Salary commensurate with experience level and the market
Full benefits, discretionary bonus and potential overtime
