We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Patent Associate Attorney to join our dynamic and fast–paced legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and protecting our company's intellectual property rights. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals and engage in a variety of challenging legal tasks. Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of patent applications to protect the company's intellectual property rights.
  • Conduct thorough patentability and freedom to operate analyses.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on all matters related to patent law, including patent prosecution, licensing, and litigation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and evaluate potential intellectual property issues and risks.
  • Monitor and manage the company's patent portfolio to ensure it aligns with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Stay up–to–date with the latest developments in patent law and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures related to intellectual property.
  • Provide training to company personnel on intellectual property matters.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Minimum of 1–4 years of experience in patent prosecution, trademark, legal writing, and patent law.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. and international patent law and procedures.
  • Exceptional legal writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast–paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem–solving, and decision–making skills.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Proficient in using patent databases and other legal research tools.
  • Experience in the technology or pharmaceutical industries would be a plus.
