PATENT PROSECTION ASSOCIATE/OF COUNSEL

Position: Patent Prosecution Associate/Of Counsel

Salary Range: $345,000 to $415,000, depending on experience

Location: New York Office–Midtown

Our client is looking for a talented Patent Prosecution Associate/Of Counsel with significant experience in biotechnology to join its Intellectual Property Group in their New York office.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, exceptional organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal and writing abilities. Tasks:

• Prepare and prosecute patent applicationsPerform patent landscape analysis
  Conduct freedom–to–operate, noninfringement, and invalidity analysis
  Conduct IP due diligence
  Mentor junior patent agents
  

Background:

• Strong interpersonal, communication, research, analysis, and writing skillsTrack record of academic and professional excellence
  Ability to manage matters independently
  Comfortable with client interactions, opposing counsel, and courts
  

IMPORTANT: Sole practitionerswill not work, and candidates must have an experience in Am Law 200

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• At least 5+ years of biotechnology experience
• Strong academic credentials
• Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills
• Advanced degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, immunology, pharmacology, or chemistry
• Admission to the Patent Bar
