We are seeking a seasoned Senior Litigation Associate – Non–Equity Partner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing the firm in all areas of business litigation, including but not limited to, commercial litigation, corporate law, and intellectual property disputes. The candidate may have a strong background several areasof litigation but not limited to employment law, bankruptcy, family law, banking or construction litigation with experience incontract negotiation, and mediation. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast–paced environment where your expertise will have a direct impact on the success of our clients and our firm. You will be working directly with the firm's top client docket. No book of business is needed!
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Litigation Associate – Non–Equity Partner, you will be expected to:
1. Represent clients in all stages of business disputes and litigation, including case assessment, pleadings, discovery, pre–trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
3. Provide counsel on corporate law matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and compliance.
4. Handle employment law issues, including employment contracts, employee rights, discrimination claims, and workplace disputes.
5. Manage bankruptcy cases, including filing petitions, managing assets, and representing clients in court.
6. Protect intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
7. Utilize dispute resolution and mediation skills to resolve conflicts in a cost–effective and efficient manner.
8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with timely and high–quality service.
9. Collaborate with other members of the legal team to develop strategies and achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.
10. Stay updated on the latest developments in the legal industry and use this knowledge to provide effective legal solutions.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Litigation Associate – Non–Equity Partner position will have:
1. A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 7–10 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on commercial litigation, corporate law, employment law, bankruptcy, and intellectual property. Any litigation experience will be considered.
4. Exceptional legal writing, research, and oral communication skills.
5. Proven experience in contract negotiation and mediation.
6. A strong understanding of dispute resolution processes.
7. Ability to manage multiple cases and projects, with a keen attention to detail.
8. Excellent problem–solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
9. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
10. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
