Job Details

Talented and motivated Labor and Employment Attorney to join our practice group. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the senior partners, assisting clients in navigating complex labor and employment matters; collaborate on challenging cases, develop legal strategies, and provide valuable counsel to our clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Support senior attorneys in labor and employment matters.
  • Assist in developing strategies to address and resolve employment, education, and labor disputes.
  • Conduct thorough legal research on labor, education, and employment laws, regulations, and precedents.
  • Advise clients on labor, education, and employment issues, including employment contracts, workplace policies, and compliance matters.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Prepare for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Assist in negotiating and drafting employment agreements, collective bargaining agreements, separation agreements, and other related documents.
  • Stay informed about developments in labor, education, and employment law and share knowledge with the team.
  • Conduct legal and factual background research to support attorneys in case preparation.
  • Coordinate and manage the discovery process, including the collection, review, and production of documents.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests, subpoenas, and document requests.
  • Assist in gathering information and documentation from clients related to their cases.
  • Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to ongoing cases.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of overall experience managing cases, overseeing discovery, taking, and defending depositions, drafting pleadings, writing briefs, and preparing and arguing motions.
  • Florida Bar admission is required.
  • Strong legal writing and research skills are required.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – are required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to organize, prioritize, and complete simultaneous assignments with minimal supervision.
