Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic team. As a leading law firm, we provide comprehensive legal services to a diverse client base, and the Litigation Paralegal plays a crucial role in supporting our attorneys in all aspects of the litigation process.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management: Assist attorneys in managing all aspects of litigation cases, including organizing case files, scheduling hearings, depositions, and trial dates, and maintaining case calendars.
Legal Research: Conduct legal research using various resources to support case preparation and strategy development.
Document Management: Draft, review, and organize legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
Discovery Support: Assist in the discovery process by drafting discovery requests and responses, organizing and managing document production, and preparing deposition summaries.
Trial Preparation: Coordinate trial preparation activities, including witness preparation, exhibit preparation, and trial binders.
Client Communication: Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel professionally and effectively.
Billing and Timekeeping: Assist attorneys with billing and timekeeping tasks, including maintaining accurate records of billable hours and expenses.
Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to attorneys, such as scheduling meetings, answering phones, and managing correspondence.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA–approved program.
3 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm setting.
Proficiency in legal research tools, such as Westlaw or LexisNexis, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
Knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures.
Experience with electronic discovery software is a plus.
