Kelly IP, LLP, an innovative trademark law firm in Washington, DC that is consistently rated among the top trademark firms in the country, has a position open for a full-time Trademark Paralegal. This position is ideally based in our Washington, DC office with a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities include the following: Effectively manage client trademark portfolios and trademark docket deadlines and communicate with clients and firm attorneys regarding upcoming deadlines; prepare and file all necessary USPTO filings; communicate with foreign counsel to prepare and file new trademark applications, to prosecute those applications, to provide instructions for contested matters, and to coordinate all documents required for those matters; conduct preliminary trademark searches; and enter time daily using appropriate and accurate descriptions. Only candidates with at least 5 years of experience as a Trademark Paralegal will be considered.
Qualified candidates will have professional organizational skills, keen attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, work independently, provide high levels of efficiency, accuracy and be able to effectively manage deadlines, along with professional office skills and trademark-specific systems (USPTO, TTAB, Saegis, Corsearch, WebTMS). We are looking for a professional, team player who takes pride and ownership in their work.
