What You'll Bring:Education and Experience
  • Law degree from accredited law school required. Admission to a state bar, NJ or NY preferred or eligibility to obtain in–house counsel license in NJ.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience at a law firm and or corporate legal department with a focus on product safety or product liability, product warranty, regulatory compliance and general commercial litigation.
  • Substantive knowledge of regulatory compliance and reporting to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
  • Experience advising clients in all stages of civil litigation including strategy for pre–litigation dispute resolution and risk mitigation, discovery, motion practice, mediation, arbitration and knowledge of insurance related issues.
  • Experience with Environmental Product Regulation, including compliance with EPA regulations, or knowledge of Antitrust Law, a plus.

The salary range of$155K–$170K isjust one component of Panasonic's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.

Assist General Counsel by implementing and managing the operations and activities of Corporate Ethics and Compliance program and providing expert legal advice on compliance–related laws, regulations and policies.

Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal counsel on a broad range of intellectual property related matters including software licensing, review of IP–related agreements and clauses in commercial contracts, and counseling and training of employees in IP–related subject matter.
