We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our legal team. This position involves working closely with the general counsel to support legal, compliance, grants, contracts, and enterprise risk management operations. The role requires effective communication with stakeholders at all levels and is crucial for maintaining consistency across departmental functions. This role includes creating processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team and managing projects across a broad range of legal and compliance areas.

Hybrid Role: 2–3 days in office (flexible)

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the implementation of legal department tools to streamline practices, manage system rollouts, and conduct training.
  • Manage corporate governance documentation and basic inquiries under the guidance of the General Counsel.
  • Handle intellectual property documentation, including trademarks and trade names
  • Ensure effective communication and implementation of new processes within the department to maintain functional synergy.
  • Generate custom reports to support contract lifecycle management and compliance.
  • Report on operational and substantive metrics to inform decision–making and enhance service quality.
  • Develop a desk manual for new legal department hires.
  • Establish and maintain internal process guidelines, templates, and workflows.
  • Draft and manage departmental surveys and engagement activities.
  • Develop and manage the department's internal web resources.
  • Handle the review, routing, and management of legal and contractual documents for signature by the General Counsel.

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a Paralegal or Legal Operations role focused on contracts, compliance, or a related area.
  • Spanish is a plus

Technical Competencies:
  • Proficient with various software tools including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and collaboration platforms.
  • Experienced in crafting operational tools, processes, and guidelines.
  • Demonstrated capability to drive projects forward within a cross–functional environment.
  • Excellent skills in analysis, problem–solving, and both verbal and written communication.
