THE ROLE

This is a fabulous role which has arisen due to the growth of the innovative, successful and growing intellectual property practice, which acts for an exciting range of clients on IP matters across different intellectual property rights, technologies and commercial contexts.

What you will enjoy:

• Pre–action advisory work
• Infringement and cancellation proceedings (IPEC, High Court and Patents Court)
• Oppositions and invalidity proceedings at the UKIPO
• Alternative dispute resolution procedures (such as mediation)
• Co–ordinating foreign proceedings and liaising with overseas counsel
• Anti–counterfeiting work including Customs / Trading Standards actions and online take downs
• Domain name disputes
• Company Names Tribunal cases
• Negotiating and drafting settlement and co–existence agreements
• Assisting with licence and assignment agreements

ABOUT YOU

With 2–4pqe you will have experience of contentious soft IP litigation before the IPEC, High Court or Patents Court (designs).

You are likely to have excellent academics and experience gained at a Magic, Silver Circle or equivalent or niche firm and will be looking to enhance your contentious IP experience by working for both UK and international companies.
