Of Counsel Attorney – Dallas, Texas

Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Of Counsel to join our legal team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will offer expert legal guidance on various corporate and industry–specific matters, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting our strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience with a strong background in corporate law, and a passion for the energy or technology sectors.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Legal Advisory: Provide counsel on a wide range of issues, including corporate governance, compliance, intellectual property, and commercial transactions.
  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to safeguard the company's interests.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and international regulations pertinent to the battery technology industry.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks, develop strategies to mitigate them, manage legal disputes, and collaborate with external counsel as needed.
  • Corporate Governance: Advise on matters related to corporate governance, including board and shareholder meetings, and corporate filings.
  • Industry Insight: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes
  • Cross–Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with departments such as R&D, finance, and operations to provide legal support and achieve business objectives.

Qualifications:


  • Experience: 5–10 years of legal experience, with significant expertise in corporate law, preferably within the technology or energy sectors.
  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensing: Licensed to practice law in Texas; additional licenses in other jurisdictions are a plus.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with manufactoring or energy industry preferable
  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem–solving abilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven negotiation and contract management experience.
    • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
    • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
