Our firm has an immediate opening in our Atlanta office for an associate with a minimum of 2 years of substantive experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications, conducting patent validity, non–infringement, and freedom–to–operate analyses, and supporting IP due diligences, patent litigations, post–grant proceedings (IPR, PGR, interferences) and other IP matters related to small molecule pharmaceuticals. Qualified candidates will ideally have an advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred, or M.S. with several years industry experience) in chemistry, with a strong emphasis in organic or medicinal chemistry, be registered to practice at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and be admitted to a State Bar (Georgia preferred). Additionally, candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, superior academic background and a desire for teamwork, significant responsibility and client interaction.
