Position: Legal Counsel, Intellectual Property
Location: Cambridge (Hybrid – 2 days a week office–based)
Salary: Up to 70,000 per annum plus bonus and benefits

Our client is seeking a specialist Intellectual Property Legal Counsel to provide pragmatic, commercial legal advice that supports their global business operations. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact within a dynamic and innovative organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Intellectual Property Management: Advise on a wide range of non–contentious IP matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, to protect the company's valuable assets.
• Global IP Strategy: Work closely with cross–functional teams to develop and implement effective IP strategies that align with the company's global business objectives.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify potential IP risks and provide proactive legal solutions to mitigate them.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including R&D, marketing, and product development teams, to ensure that IP considerations are integrated into business decisions.

Candidate Specification:

• UK qualified solicitor with 2–5 years of PQE (qualified or non–qualified experience considered), with relevant non–contentious experience in intellectual property law.
• Strong understanding of IP laws and regulations.
• Proven ability to provide commercial and pragmatic legal advice in a fast–paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
