The Professional Development & Training Assistant (Corporate) provides assistance to the Professional Development & Training (PD&T) team in implementing training programs. The Professional Development & Training Assistant will report to the Professional Development & Training Manager and work closely with the Professional Development & Training Coordinators primarily responsible for corporate training programs.
Responsibilities:
Supports planning for training camps and retreats.
Assists in the implementation of workshops and other attorney training programs.
Manages training program logistics, including creating/sending invitations through the firm's learning management system, scheduling, working with presenters, creating and distributing sign–in sheets and materials, acting as a liaison with Conference Services, collecting and compiling feedback, and general troubleshooting.
Participates in design of training programs.
Assists with preparation of training materials.
Provides lateral associates with training resources with direction from manager.
Provides on–site support for training programs in the New York/Boston office.
Maintains and updates training charts, spreadsheets, calendars, learning paths and databases.
Tracks program attendance and feedback ratings.
Supports the Corporate Training Committee, including scheduling meetings, distributing agendas, preparing meeting materials, and taking and distributing meeting minutes.
Maintains the corporate training infoNet page.
Assists with preparation and maintenance of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) folders.
Schedules corporate training team meetings and prepares agendas.
Understands and effectively uses required firm applications (Outlook, iManage, CE Manager, Zoom and Microsoft Office applications).
Serves as back–up to Corporate PD&T team members as needed.
Assumes other responsibilities as needed to support the PD&T team.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
BA/BS degree or equivalent, experience with law firm environment a plus. Excellent verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to multi–task, prioritize work and consistently meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required, proficiency with CE Manager a plus. Must maintain strict confidentiality in all matters.
Compensation and Total Rewards Package:
Ropes & Gray is proud to offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package to our business support team members. The anticipated pay range for this role is $47,000 – $65,000 in Boston, and $49,500 – $69,000 in New York, which represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job–related, non–discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
Working Conditions:
This position requires hybrid on–site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on–site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, professional development and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
