As a Sr. Corporate Counsel, you will join a fast–paced legal team as part of a larger multinational company. The Sr. Corporate Counsel will join the U.S. legal team and report to the General Counsel for North America. This is a great opportunity to expand your in–house or law firm experience into a diverse range of legal matters. You will be responsible for providing legal and compliance support and advice on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters for a multinational specialty products and chemical manufacturing company, ICL Group Ltd. (NYSE: ICL). ICL's U.S. headquarters are located in St. Louis, MO. In addition, this position will serve as a member of the Global Legal and Compliance Team and will participate in global legal and compliance initiatives as requested.
I'm interested! What will I get to do in this position?
- Provide legal advice and guidance to management and operations teams on a broad range of legal issues.
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts including sales agreements, distribution agreements, confidentiality agreements, consulting agreements, and others.
- Lead and manage team projects.
- Manage and work with ICL legal team and external counsel on a wide–range of matters including intellectual property, commercial litigation, employment litigation, regulatory issues.
- Collaborate with global legal team on various projects and strategies.
- Develop and conduct relevant legal trainings and educate team members from across different business units and functional areas.
- Support and advise on implementation of certain compliance programs and initiatives.
- Build cross–functional relationships with business teams.
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
- Juris Doctorate or LLM from an ABA accredited law school required.
- Membership to the Missouri Bar, or eligible and willing to seek admission to the Missouri Bar.
- 5–7 years of significant experience in a law firm and/or in–house experience preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate legal and compliance issues verbally and in writing to all levels of the organization.
- Experience with drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts required.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and focus on critical priorities independently.
- Experience leading projects and driving them to completion.
- Strong business ethics, integrity and executive presence.
- Ability to think critically and resolve complex legal issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package.
Salary Range: $154,000 – $211,000
Annual Bonus Target: 12%, subject to plan provisions.
