About the position:
This role serves as litigation counsel throughout the United States providing support for The Raymond Corporation and other affiliated entities. In addition, this role will provide legal support and counsel to certain business groups within Raymond including but not limited to marketing, technical and warranty, training, and procurement. This role also includes providing advice and counsel across various legal matters for the Company in addition to acting as primary litigation counsel. You will:
- Develop a thorough understanding of the Company's business, its core values, its people, products, technology, markets, customers and competitors in order to assist the Company in meeting its overall business goals and objectives in a legal, compliant, efficient, practical and responsible manner.
- Serve as a strategic partner by providing legal service to a variety of corporate clients in different areas of the company by establishing, managing and maintaining strong collaborative relationships.
- Overall responsibility to ensure corporate compliance with a variety of laws applicable to the conduct of business.
- Primary emphasis for this role is active litigation management, monitoring, and budgeting with the ability to serve as a legal generalist in support of the business.
- Work as a partner with our Defense Counsel Network to analyze, strategize and deliver optimal results to the Company.
- Review and approve promotional literature, website information, and product training materials.
- Provide legal advice to technical and warranty, training, and product support.
- Review, draft, analyze, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including supplier, customer, confidentiality, distributor, equipment lease, and license agreements for domestic and international operations and functions.
- Help to provide support in other areas such as, environmental, employment, procurement, trademark, and real estate.
- Provide strategic guidance and support on special projects to the General Counsel and executive and business leaders.
About the schedule:
- This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
About you:
- Juris Doctor degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association.
- Admitted to the Bar of the State of New York, or eligible through reciprocity for full admission or registration as Corporate Counsel
- Minimum of six years' litigation experience; experience at a reputable law firm or corporate entity preferred.
- Experience with product liability, asbestos, and/or commercial litigation required.
- Excellent and succinct written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational, time–management and prioritization capabilities; able to manage workload independently, efficiently and with minimal supervision.
- Understand and apply an expert–level knowledge of the concepts, practices and procedures of the legal field.
- Excellent research and analytical skills to resolve problems and issues.
- High level of detail and ability to multitask, prioritize and work in a fast–paced environment.
- Knowledge of commercial and financial antitrust and product laws.

About the total compensation package:
Salary – $143,600 – $183,900 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.
Relocation –This position may qualify for relocation.
