Intellectual Property Associate Attorney

Our client, a prestigious law firm, has an immediate need for an experienced Intellectual Property Associate Attorney to join their winning team in Boston.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in biological sciences and hold an advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred; a Master's degree with substantial industry experience will be considered) along with a passion for intellectual property law.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Draft and prosecute patent applications in the field of biological sciences.
2. Conduct IP due diligence and freedom–to–operate (FTO) analyses.
3. Assist in litigation support and post–grant proceedings as necessary.
4. Collaborate with clients to provide exceptional service and innovative IP strategies.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

1. Advanced degree in Biological Sciences (Ph.D. preferred; Master's with significant industry experience acceptable).
2. Experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
3. Familiarity with IP due diligence and FTO analyses.
4. Some litigation and/or post–grant experience is beneficial.
5. Registration with the USPTO is preferred.
6. Prior experience in a law firm setting is a plus.
7. Excellent academic record, superior organizational and communication skills (both written and oral).
8. Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional client service and a creative, entrepreneurial perspective on IP.
